The Tunisian Ministry of Interior stated the Minister Kamel Feki met today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Ministry with the Syrian Ambassador in Tunis, Mohamed Mohamed.

The two sides stressed the strength of the historical relations between the two countries and their common desire to continue bilateral cooperation, especially after the restoration of diplomatic relations, added the Tunisian Ministry.

They also reviewed areas of cooperation and discussed ways to develop them in a way to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

The meeting, held at the request of the Syrian Ambassador, is part of the preparations for the planned meeting between the Minister of the Interior and his Syrian counterpart Mohammad Khaled al-Rahmoun, during his participation in the 41st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, scheduled to be held in Tunis February 26, according to the same source.
