Yesterday, Friday, July 7, 2023, the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries, Abdel Moneem Bellati, received the Ambassador of Japan to Tunisia, OSUGA TAKESHI, and his accompanying team, Stated the Tunisian Ministry.

The meeting dealt with areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector and the possibilities of developing them.

On the occasion, the Minister praised the Tunisian-Japanese cooperation in the water sector, and renewed the Ministry's desire to continue the partnership and expand existing technical and financial cooperation areas in the sectors of forestry, fishing, and the valorization of agricultural products.

For his part, the Japanese Ambassador presented the joint projects between the Ministry and the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation, which are concerned with major water facilities, such as the water desalination plant in Sfax, the supply of potable water and protection from floods.

He also expressed his country's readiness to continue joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in various sectors and agricultural fields.
