On the sidelines of his working visit to the State of Qatar from October 1 to 4, 2023, the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries, Abdel Moneim Belaati, held many bilateral meetings with the Qatari Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Qatari Minister of Municipality, the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, the Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and Representatives of the Islamic Development Bank, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatari Tunisian Food Industries Company, the Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, stated the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries.

These meetings focused in particular on promoting joint cooperation and valuing work programs and mechanisms between OIC member countries to develop various fields related to the agricultural sector and food security, in addition to issues related to climate change and water scarcity.

Existing relations and the possibility of developing them in areas related to agricultural scientific research, financing of agricultural and water projects, and trade exchanges of basic materials were also discussed.
