Fourteen Tunisian NGOs issued a joint statement yesterday, Tuesday, calling on international NGOs and trade unions working in the field of reproductive health and the rights of the child and mother, as well as the governments of countries which "claim" to be defending the rights of mothers and activists and academics, to rally to stop the massacres of the Zionist aggression and demand an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement entitled "Stop the killing now," the signatory NGOs further called for the Palestinians to be given immediate access to medicines, water and electricity.

Pregnant women in the Gaza Strip suffer the worst treatment, they said. "They are killed, they undergo forced abortions, or they give birth in inhumane conditions without anesthetic or medication," the statement reads.

In just one month, the Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip have killed over 10,000 people, 67% of them are women (2,500) and children (4,800), and thousands have been buried under the rubble, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
