26 attempts of irregular immigration by sea were thwarted by the National Guards on Saturday night.

426 people were rescued during these operations including 140 sub-Saharan Africans and 284 Tunisian nationals, according to a national guard press release.

Twelve boats and sixteen engines were seized, the same source said.
