
A joint coordination visit for the Algerian and Tunisian Interior Ministers
The Tunisian Minister of Interior, Tawfik Charfeddine together, today, July 11, 2022, with his Algerian counterpart, Kamal Beljoud, made a coordination visit to the border province of Taref, Algeria.
This coordination meeting was to supervise the necessary arrangements taken in order to implement the decision to open the land borders between the two countries, to observe the readiness of the various border crossings, and to provide the greatest comfort for Algerian and Tunisian tourists.
In a media statement, the Algerian Minister of Interior confirmed that the border centers will be supported with all the necessary human and material needs, noting that these centers will operate 24 hours a day.
This coordination visit comes under the joint decision taken by the Algerian President, Abdelmajid Tebboune and his Tunisian President Kais Saied, to open the land borders for private cars and travelers from July 15.
