
A meeting about the Tunisian students in Ukraine and Russia
Yesterday evening, Monday, March 14, 2022, Othman Jerandi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad., held a meeting at the ministry headquarters to follow up the concerns of Tunisian students returning from Ukraine and some of the difficulties facing Tunisian students in Russia in light of the current Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
In this context, the minister called on the Tunisian authorities to unite efforts and tighten coordination among them in order to explore all available possibilities to provide the necessary psychological and social aid to the students who had to leave Ukraine and return to Tunisia, and help them particularly in resuming their academic path by exploring all possible solutions.
This meeting also discussed the difficulties that Tunisian students face related to remittances, and the importance of finding appropriate solutions so they can complete their studies in the best conditions.
This meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministries of Higher Education, Social Affairs, Health, The Office of Tunisians Abroad and the Central Bank, with the participation of some officials, members of the crisis cell, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad
