The Tunisian Ministry of Interior stated that the Minister Taoufik Charfeddine met last Friday, at the Ministry's headquarters, a US delegation led by Deputy Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Christopher Le Mon.

The meeting was essentially about the relations of cooperation between Tunisia the United States at the level of the Interior Ministries, and ways to strengthen them.

Also, it "was an opportunity to stress the ministry's commitment to combat corruption, uphold the rule of law and engage in the global fight against terrorism," the Interior Ministry said in a statement Monday.

It was attended by the US Chargée d'Affaires, Natasha Franceschi, as well as US.Agency for International Development (USAID) Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Middle East, Megan Doherty.
