A meeting between the Tunisian and Egyptian Foreign Ministers
As part of his participation in the work of the 158th ordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Ministerial level, held in Cairo on September 6, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi, met with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry.
This meeting was an occasion for the two ministers to affirm their keenness to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in regard to the common will of both the Tunisian and Egyptian presidents.
They also stressed the importance of periodic follow-up on the outcome of the 17th session of the Joint Tunisian-Egyptian High Committee, held in Tunis on May 12 and 13, 2022, in various fields.
The two ministers reviewed the agenda of the Arab Foreign Ministers Council, and the ways to promote joint Arab action in the light of the international changes.
They also agreed to continue the bilateral coordination and consultation on the horizon of the upcoming regional and international events, for the benefit of the two countries and the region as a whole.
