15 people died and 438 others were injured in various accidents during the past 24 hours, according to the spokesman of the Civil Protection on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

The same source stated that the civil protection units intervened in 508 occasions: 43 for extinguishing fire, 108 for rescue and ambulance and 350 for non-traffic accidents.
