17 people died and 369 others were injured in various accidents during the past 24 hours, according to the spokesman of the Civil Protection on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

The same source stated that the civil protection units intervened in 369 occasions: 67 for extinguishing fire, 108 for rescue and ambulance, 249 for non-traffic accidents.
