8 people died and 368 others were injured in various accidents during the past 24 hours, according to the spokesman of the Civil Protection on Friday, August 18, 2023.

The same source stated that the civil protection units intervened in 422 occasions: 66 for extinguishing fire, 132 for rescue and ambulance, 206 for non-traffic accidents, 1 for rescue on the beaches and 17 for the rest.
