
Director-General of the WHO congratulates Tunisia
Yesterday evening, March 21, 2022, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesusm the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), addresses a speech congratulating Tunisia on the occasion of its celebration of the 66th anniversary of its Independence Day.
In his speech, he also praised the success achieved by Tunisia in the health sector, such as achieving vaccination rate against Covid-19 of nearly 60%, and the progress recorded in the field fighting non-communicable diseases and raising awareness of the dangers of tobacco consumption in accordance with the International Convention on Tobacco Control.
It is important to mention that last February, THE World Health Organization chose Tunisia among six other African countries that will benefit from the transfer of advanced technology for RNA vaccines, which is considered to be a recognition of the efficiency of Tunisian expertise and the development that Tunisia has achieved in this field.
