Hajj 2023: First Flight with Tunisian Pilgrims takes off to Holy Sites

Today Friday, June 9, 2023, the first flight with 251 Tunisian pilgrims on board took off from the Tunis Carthage Airport to the Holy sites to perform the rites of the 1444-2023 Hajj.

The pilgrims were seen off by Religious Affairs Minister Brahim Chaib, Transport Minister Rabii Majidi and Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Tunisia Abdulaziz Bin Ali Al Saqr.

Some 10,982 Tunisian pilgrims are expected to perform the 1444 Hajj rituals and a team of 520 members will assist them.

The medical delegation deployed to this end have been in Saudi Arabia since June 4.

National carrier Tunisair and the Saudi airline will operate 44 flights to transport Tunisian pilgrims. The last flight will take off on June 22, said Religious Affairs Minister.
