
Italy to donate ten million euros to Tunisia
Yesterday, Thursday, May 04, 2023, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced the granting of a financial donation to the Tunisian state of 10 million euros (equivalent to approximately 34 million Tunisian dinars): 6.5 million euros of which will be for the purpose to confront the illegal maritime migration.
This donation comes after the recent meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Antonio Taiani.
During that meeting, Italy renewed its support for Tunisia on all levels, and especially on combating human trafficking, according to the website of the the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
