
Japan donates medical equipment to the Tunisian Health Ministry
Tunisia and Japan signed an agreement on Tuesday under which medical equipments will be donated to the Health Ministry to support its counter Covid-19 efforts.
This is part of supporting the efforts made by Tunisia under the hosting of the Eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8).
During the signing ceremony, which was attended by Japanese ambassador to Tunisia Shinsuke SHIMIZU, and the UN Development Program Resident Representative in Tunisia Céline Moyroud, the Tunisian Health Minister ,Ali Mrabet, praised Japan and the UNDP for their active contribution to ensure the success of TICAD 8.
The event, he said, will give impetus to Japan-Africa partnership, particularly in health.
The Japanese ambassador and the UNDP representative said they are permanently ready to boost cooperation and partnership with Tunisia in its various development programs.
