Jerandi holds a working session with his Algerian counterpart in Cairo

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, announced that Mr.Othman Jerandi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, held a working session with Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Algerians Abroad in parallel with his participation in the 157th Regular Session of the council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, held in Cairo on March 09, 2022.

The two ministers talked about the positive dynamic in the bilateral relations, especially after the visit of the Algerian President to Tunisia in December 2021 and the participation of both the Tunisian Prime Minister and the Algerian Prime Minister in the commemoration of the 64th anniversary of the events in Sakiet Sidi Youssef.

The two ministers also reviewed the upcoming bilateral entitlements, with emphasizing on the need to expedite the holding of the 22nd Session of the High Joint Committee.

This meeting was also an occasion to discuss the major regional and international developments, and the great transformations the world is witnessing. They renewed their keenness to continue the coordination and bilateral consultation on several fields of common interest.

Also, they discussed the most important issues on the agenda of the Arab Foreign Ministers Council, next to the preparations for the upcoming 31st Summit of the League of Arab States that will be held in Algeria at the beginning of November 2022.
