In this meeting, the Minister praised the strength of the partnership that link Tunisia to the Council of Europe, which was embodied in the implementation of several projects, stressing that Tunisia is living a reform path that establishes a true democracy that live up to the aspirations of all Tunisians and guarantee their dignity. He also thanked the Council of Europe for supporting Tunisia in this exceptional and special circumstance nationally and internationally.

From her side, the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Tunis expressed her confidence in Tunisia’s ability to make this delicate period a success, to strengthen the democratic path and to achieve the desired transition in the best conditions.

She also renewed the readiness of the Council of Europe to put its expertise in many fields to accompany Tunisia in its political and development path. Moreover, she referred to the working visit that the President of the European Committee for Democracy )through the Law "Venice Committee" of the Council of Europe( intends to make to Tunisia in the coming period.
