
Jerandi talked to his counterparts from Palestine, Jordan and Algeria
Yesterday, Monday, April 18, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi, made phone calls to his counterparts from Palestine, Jordan and Algeria, in light of the current aggressive developments in the Palestinian occupied lands.
In a statement, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Jerandi received a phone call from the Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Sadafi, in order to consult on the situation in Jerusalem and coordinate the Arab positions regarding the grave violations committed by the occupying authorities, including the settlement policy and the plans aimed at Judaizing Jerusalem.
In addition to the forced displacement of people and the annexation of Palestinian lands in order to fragment Palestinian cities, change their features and obliterate their identity.
The two sides discussed the necessity of convening the concerned Arab ministerial committee to stop the Israeli measures in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
In another telephone conversation with the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki, the Tunisian Minister affirmed Tunisia's firm support for the Palestinians and standing with them in their struggle against the aggressive policies of the occupation and the desecration of sanctities.
Al-Malki valued Tunisia's supportive stance for the Palestinian right, highlighting the seriousness of the schemes pursued by the occupier through his efforts to divide the holy places.
The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs also had a phone call with the Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra, for the proposed Arab move and to call on the international community to compel the occupation authorities to desist from their aggressive policies and to comply with the international legitimacy.
