The President of the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Kais Saied affirmed that the next elections will be held on time. He added that his candidacy for the presidential election is a premature issue but that he will not abandon the responsibility to unpatriotic people.

In a statement to the media in the city of Monastir today, Thursday, April 6, 2023, where he visited the Bourguiba family square on the occasion of the commemoration of the 23rd anniversary of the death of Leader Habib Bourguiba, Saïed added that he will pass the torch to whoever the people choose.

He emphasized the sense of responsibility towards the country, rejecting any interest in positions. The issue is not about people, but rather the imperative to start a new stage in the country's history, he asserted.
