The Ministry of National Defense declared on a statement released yesterday, June 22, 2022, that the Tunisian armed forces, as in previous years, are hosting a part from the Tunisian-US joint military exercise "African Lion 2022" from June 16 to July 1, 2022.,

This exercise takes place in cooperation with the U.S. Africa Command and the "exclusive" participation of members of the Tunisian armed forces and their U.S. counterparts, the Ministry of Defense added in a statement.,

The ministry also said Tunisia participates, with reduced personnel in part of this military exercise that will take place Morocco.

The U.S. side will organize other stages of this military exercise in Morocco, Senegal and Ghana, with the participation of 7,500 troops from various countries, including the United States, Brazil, Romania, France, Portugal, Ghana, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Britain and Tunisia, in addition to observers from 28 countries.
