Morocco appoints New Consul in Algeria
The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the appointment of Mustafa Razouk as the new Consul General in Algeria. He is set to begin his duties in September.
On Friday, the Moroccan Foreign Ministry released a list of consular appointments for the year 2024.
The list included the names of new appointees to various consular positions in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Mauritania, Tunisia, and Canada.
Previously, Moroccan King Mohammed VI expressed his hope for a return to normalcy between Morocco and Algeria and for the reopening of borders after diplomatic relations between the two countries were severed.
