The Minister of Foreign Affairs,Immiigration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi, met, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, with the Secretary General of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo, in New York.

The meeting took place in the margins of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly. It was about the preparations for the 18th Francophonie Summit, which will be held in Djerba on November 18 and 19, the Tunisian Ministry said in a statement.

Jerandi said "Tunisia is ready to host this major event in the best conditions," stressing that all procedural issues have been completed, including the platform to allocate accreditations to participants, which was launched on September 15.

From her part, the OIF Secretary General welcomed the efforts made by Tunisia  to ensure the success of the Summit, according to the same source.
