
October 12-15: the 14th edition of SIAT at Kram exhibition center
The 14th edition of the International Exhibition of Agricultural Investment and Technology (SIAT 2022 in french) will be held at the Kram Exhibition Centre from October 12 to 15, 2022 under the theme “Smart Investment for Sustainable Development.”
This 14th edition, organized by the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), will see the participation of operators from 15 countries including Egypt, France, the United States, India, Indonesia, Russia and Congo.
The event offers farmers and investors an opportunity to exhibit their new technologies and learn about opportunities to promote agricultural production, said Director General of APIA Inji Douggui.
The national competition on technological solutions applied to agriculture “GREEN'TIC” held in the framework of this exhibition is scheduled for October 17, she added at a press conference held on Thursday in Tunis, saying 19 start-ups were shortlisted.
Three prizes will be awarded to the best projects. They will vary between 10,000 dinars for the first prize, 7,000 for the second and 5,000 for the third.
SIAT 2022 features several events such as an exhibition of advanced technologies and research achievements in the fields of agriculture, agri-food, fishing and related services, and partnership meetings between Tunisian entrepreneurs and foreign partners with a view to establishing commercial relations and signing production contracts.
Some 15 demo-sessions are scheduled to present new technologies and techniques to improve production and enhance the value of agricultural products.
Douggui also pointed out that the first international forum on responsible investment will be organized on this occasion, at the initiative of APIA, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Over 220 exhibitors will take part in the SIAT 2022, which will occupy an area of 10,000 m2. Some 12,000 visitors are expected, according to the organizers.
