
October 25: Tunisia will witness a partial solar eclipse
Tunisia will see a partial solar eclipse on October 25, starting at 10:41 a.m., Head of the Universe Pavilion at the Tunis Science City Sarra Snoussi told TAP on Friday.
The percentage of the solar eclipse is 6.13%, the peak is 11:24 a.m. and the end is 12:08 p.m., she specified.
The Science City will organize on the occasion, in collaboration with the Astronomical Society of Tunisia (SAT), a special morning on October 25, to follow the whole event, Snoussi pointed out.
The solar eclipse will be visible in varying proportions from most parts of Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and western parts of Asia.
The maximum blocking percentage of the sun's disk at the peak time will be in Baghdad (46.3%) and the lowest blocking percentage in Algeria (0.27%).
