
Paris: Kais Saied Meets with Several Heads of States and Governments
The Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia stated that the President Kais Saied had, today, Thursday, June 22, 2023, a series of meetings with several Heads of States and Governments, mainly the French President Emmanuel Macron, on the sidelines of the "Paris Summit for a New Global Financing Pact"
He notably engaged in talks with the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva.
The discussions centered around various issues of mutual interest and the shared commitment to fostering robust cooperation in economic and development spheres. President Saied held a productive conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, addressing key matters on the agenda.
Highlighting the importance of the meetings, President Saied emphasized the need for embracing non-conventional approaches in shaping new global economic and financial relations. He underscored the significance of addressing the prevailing challenges faced by developing nations and the global community at large. The Tunisian President emphasized on the necessity to respond to the aspirations of people worldwide for a dignified life while fully respecting national sovereignty.
