The Tunisian Ministry of Interior stated that yesterday, August 31, 2022, the Minister, Tawfik Charfeddine, made a phone conversation with his French counterpart, Gérald DARMANIN, as part of the follow-up to the results of the last visit made by the Tunisian Head of Government to Paris.

The Tunisian Ministry of Interior stated that this conversation was an occasion during which the two sides reviewed  the existing cooperation between them, especially in the field of immigration and movement between the two countries.

In the same context, the French Minister of the Interior confirmed to his Tunisian counterpart his country's decision to immediately return to the normal system related to visa issuance procedures for the benefit of Tunisian citizens.

The two ministers also agreed to conduct a joint assessment of the level of cooperation existing between the two sides in all issues of common concern, before the end of the current year.
