The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister, Nabil Ammar, received a phone call today, May 11, 2023 from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Demeke Mekonnen.

The phone call focused mainly on the strong relations of friendship and brotherhood that unite the two countries. Emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in major areas.

The two Ministers also discussed main regional and African issues of common interest.

For his part, the Tunisian Minister reiterated Tunisia's firm and constant position advocating the need to resolve crises and conflicts by peaceful and friendly means and through dialogue and consensus. He also addressed an invitation to his Ethiopian counterpart to pay a working visit to Tunisia, on a date to be mutually agreed.
