The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, stated that the Minister Mr. Nabil Ammar, had today, Wednesday, April 05, 2023, a phone call with the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Faisal Mekdad, during which the two Ministers reaffirmed the depth of fraternal ties and the long-standing cooperation relations between Tunisia and Syria and the common willingness to further strengthen them for the benefit and interest of the two brotherly peoples.

On this occasion, the Syrian Minister expressed his appreciation of the decision of the President of the Republic to appoint an Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Syrian Arab Republic, stressing the importance of this step in contributing to the return of relations between the two brotherly countries to their normal situation, according to the same statement.
