Polish officials, companies, and business leaders will attend an economic event on June 12, 2024, to foster trade relations with Tunisian and African counterparts. Organized by the Polish Embassy in Tunis, this event aims to enhance economic exchanges and will coincide with the Financing Investment & Trade in Africa (FITA2024) conference.

The event will showcase Poland's economic and export potential, featuring companies from sectors such as agricultural machinery, health products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dairy, construction, infrastructure, IT, and renewable energy. Key speeches will be given by representatives from the Polish Development Bank and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, along with legal experts.

Tunisia, Poland's sixth-largest economic partner in Africa and seventh in the Arab world, is a focal point for Poland's export strategy, especially in industrial materials like aluminum. Conversely, Tunisia seeks to increase its agricultural and food exports and attract more tourists and investors. By the end of 2024, Polish tourist numbers to Tunisia are expected to reach approximately 300,000, an increase of 70,000 from 2023.

The FITA2024 conference, hosted by Tunisia on June 11-12, 2024, under the high patronage of Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed, will include participants from over 60 countries and more than a thousand businessmen and officials. Organized by the Tunisia Africa Business Council (TABC), the conference will focus on "Strengthening local transformation and technology transfer for sustainable and inclusive growth in Africa."
