The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived yesterday evening, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, to Tunisia on a two-day working visit at the invitation of his Tunisian counterpart, Nabil Ammar.

Lavrov is scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings today, Thursday, during his visit to the country.

Russia Today (RT) reported that this visit comes within the framework of intensifying political consultations between the two countries, discussing ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, developing the pattern of bilateral trade exchanges, and exploring new possibilities for fruitful partnership between the two countries.
