The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov announced today, Monday, April 4, 2022, his intention to visit Algeria "soon," according to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, on the sidelines of a meeting with representatives of the contact group of the League of Arab States, Lavrov said: "i expect to make a return visit to Algeria soon. I will insist that you receive me." And he indicated that he was happy to be given the opportunity to discuss bilateral relations with Algeria.
