Saied, Dbeibah: discussing bilateral relations and situation in Libya

Today, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, received at Carthage Palace, the Head of the Libyan National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.

This meeting represented another occasion to emphasize the mutual keenness to take actual decisions and concrete measures that would enable the further strengthening of the brotherhood ties and the strong relations of cooperation, collaboration and integration that exist between the two countries, based on the firm belief in the unity of destiny and the common future.

By the way, the both sides stressed the importance of continuing to work, at all levels, in order to properly utilize the great capabilities available to the two countries, implement the rich legal framework, activate the numerous cooperation mechanisms in various sectors, face common challenges, overcome difficulties and find appropriate solutions to them, which would help to further increasing the volume of economic cooperation and trade exchange, stimulating investments in the two countries, and facilitating the smooth movement of people, goods and funds.

During this meeting, the Tunisian President affirmed Tunisia's adherence to its firm position regarding the situation in Libya, calling for the need for the solution to be only Libyan-Libyan and adherence to the unity, security and stability of this brotherly country.
