Nineteen young children and two adults have died in a shooting at a primary school in south Texas on May 24, 2022. All of the child victims were in a single classroom.

The gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School - which teaches children aged seven to 10 - in the city of Uvalde before he was killed by law enforcement, officials said.

The shooting came 10 days after a gunman killed 10 people at a supermarket in Buffalo, NY. It is the 212th U.S. mass shooting so far in 2022.
