(Aljazeera) – Today Saturday, March 26, 2022, the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, inaugurated the 20th edition of the two-day Doha Forum, under the title "Transformation into a New Era"

This is the first edition of Doha Forum to be held in attendance since the start of the pandemic. In 2020 and 2021, the Doha Forum, just like the rest of the world, went virtual in the last two editions.

The forum aims to launch a dialogue on the critical challenges facing the world, promote the exchange of ideas and policy-making and provide viable recommendations.

In the opening speech of the forum, the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani said that the world has reached a critical stage at all political, economic, environmental and social levels, stressing that social justice is the safety valve for society and requires a fair tax policy.

He also pointed out that one of the exclusionary phenomena that has been on the rise in recent years is Islamophobia. He also stressed that anti-Semitism is wrongly used against anyone who criticizes Israel policies, which is detrimental to the struggle against racism.

He continued in explaining that the militarization of solutions has grown to one of its most difficult peaks in the Ukrainian war, and he affirmed his solidarity with the millions of innocent people and refugees who are victims of this unjust war and geopolitical calculations.

At the same time, he reminded the attendees of the millions of Palestinians who have been suffering from Israeli occupation and international neglect for more than seven decades.
