Chinese giant Alibaba is expanding its presence in Tunisia with the launch of the Global Digital Talent Program (GDT) in partnership with a private Tunisian university. This initiative aims to support and integrate Tunisian exporters as suppliers on the Alibaba.com platform.

Sami Tounsi, regional partner of the Alibaba group and founder of the platform Sésame, emphasized that this new partnership with the e-commerce giant Alibaba will enable exporting companies to access the global market, especially the Chinese digital market, and showcase their products on the platform.

He explained that establishing a partnership with Alibaba and having exporting companies join the Chinese group will facilitate the digital transition for Tunisian exporters, allowing them to enter global markets by displaying their products on the Alibaba.com platform.

This platform connects nearly 50 million purchasing managers worldwide initially, and subsequently enables them to sell on various e-commerce platforms within the group, such as AliExpress, which is visited by nearly a billion users daily.
