According to the official social media pages of the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia, the President of the Tunisian Republic, Kais Saied, announced this evening, Wednesday, during the meeting of the National Security Council, the official dissolution of Parliament and that after suspending its work since July 25.

The head of state said during the meeting of the National Security Council: "according to the Chapter 72 of the Constitution, I announce today, at this historic moment, the dissolution of the Parliament in order to preserve the state, its institutions and the Tunisian people.”
