The GCC agree to rescue Lebanon from bankruptcy, but with conditions

Kuwaiti press reports declared today, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, that the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) agreed on the necessity to save Lebanon from bankruptcy that threatens it, and that in parallel with the return of the Saudi and Kuwaiti ambassadors to Beirut after the tension raised By the Lebanese Minister George Kordahi’s declaration regarding the war in Yemen.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Jareeda, the Gulf states are convinced that the fall of Lebanon will bring them harm, and so, they developed a clear program to support Lebanon by deciding to allocate Gulf economic aid but that depends on the developments of the political scene after the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections. The most important of these developments is lifting the grip of the Iranian- backed Hizb-allah from all the institutions of the country and ensuring that the GCC states are not threatened from the Lebanese territory.
