The Tunisian Ministry of Interior stated that yesterday, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, the Minister Tawfik Charfeddine received at the headquarters of the Ministry, the French Ambassador to Tunisia, Andre Parant.

The meeting reviewed "the state of cooperation between Tunisia and France in areas of common interest within the competence of the Ministry of Interior, namely, the fight against terrorism and organized crime," according to a statement by the Ministry.

In a tweet, the French ambassador described this meeting about security cooperation as "constructive".

The meeting, he added, focused on the fight against terrorism, strengthening cooperation against organized crime and cooperation against illegal immigration.
