The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced in an official statement that official negotiations with Tunisia will be started in the coming weeks, according to what the government spokesman Nasr Eddine Nassibi said in a Facebook post.

He stated that: "We have previously said that we will serve Tunisia efficiently, faithfully and competently, and the announcement of the International Monetary Fund announced to launch the official negotiations with Tunisia in the coming weeks proves the efforts made by the government."

"We will continue our keenness to build and return to production, preserve the gains of the Tunisian people, accompany the youth and protect the vulnerable categories, and all Tunisian women and men," he added.
