The Ministry of Health decides to suspend the use of the J&J vaccine

Today, Monday, May 09, 2022, the Tunisian Ministry of Health confirmed, in a statement, that it had decided to suspend the use of the “Johnson & Johnson” vaccine, as part of its keenness to follow developments related to the vaccination of the Corona virus, and following the recommendations of the US Food and Drug Administration to limit the use of this vaccine.

The Tunisian Ministry of Health indicated, in the same statement, that the National Center for Pharmacovigilance did not receive any notification regarding the recording of severe side effects of this vaccine, especially blood clotting.

It is noteworthy that the “Pfizer” vaccine is the most widely used type of vaccine in Tunisia, and that the National Committee for Vaccination against Covid-19 continues to follow up on all developments in vaccination against the virus at both the national and global levels.
