The Director General of competition and economic research at the Tunisian Ministry of Trade, Mr. Houssem Eddine Twiti, declared to Al-Wataniya TV, yesterday, June 19, 2022, that the prices of the basic foodstuffs will be available at low prices from this week.

He also explained that the process of importing the unavailable grains in Tunisia is continuing in its usual way, their derivatives are currently available, and the supply will be enhanced this week.

The same source at the Ministry of Trade also confirmed the arrival of shipments of subsidized vegetable oil and sugar, and they will be distributed to the markets during this week, noting that this quantity is estimated at 12,000 liters of vegetable oil and 18,000 tons of sugar.
