The units of the National Guard thwarted, on January 01 and 02, four operations to cross the maritime borders by stealth and rescued 168 irregular immigrants; 150 of sub-Saharan nationalities, and the rest were Tunisians, after their boat sank at sea, according to a spokesman for the National Guard.

The same source added that the Public Prosecution Office authorized to take action regarding these irregular immigrants.
