Within the framework of the 36th summit of the African Union (AU) and the 42nd session of its executive council held on February 15-16 in Addis Ababa., the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, held talks today, Thursday, February 16, 2023, with his Mauritanian counterpart, Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk,

The two parties stressed the common will to develop cooperation in various fields in order to meet the aspirations and interests of the two brotherly peoples, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad.

They also stressed the importance of continuing political consultations and exchanges of visits between the two countries' senior officials, calling for accelerating the holding of the joint commission.

The meeting was also an opportunity to review the long-standing relations between the two countries and to exchange views on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and issues of common interest.
