The Tunisian Judges are on strike from today
This morning, Feya9'in team, on IFM Radio, talked about the strike that the judges are starting from today, Monday, June 06, in all courts and for a renewable week.
The judges are protesting against what they consider "a continuous interference from the President of the Republic in the judicial authority, and the powers entrusted to it by issuing Decree No. 35 of 2022 and seizing the powers of the Supreme Judicial Council and assigning himself the power to dismiss judges without going through disciplinary paths, and that in violation of the minimum standards of the constitutionally right of defense guaranteed under international treaties ratified by the Tunisian state and guaranteed by basic laws”.
It is noteworthy that confirmed terrorism cases and burial permissions are excluded from this strike.
