Starting from Today, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, the USA Assistant Secretary of State for Civil Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Ezra Zia will visit Tunisia where she will meet with senior governmental officials to discuss political and economic reforms, human rights protection, and the essential role that civil society plays in a strong democracy.

the USA Assistant Secretary of State will also discuss bilateral and regional issues and the economic challenges Tunisia is facing as a result of the Russian invasion in its neighbor, according to a USA State Ministry statement.

Ezra Zia will meet with human rights defenders, labor leaders and other representatives of Tunisian civil society to hear their views on the challenges and opportunities facing Tunisia.
