The National Institute of Meteorology has stated that the weather for today, May 17, 2024, is expected to be partly cloudy in most regions, then turn heavily cloudy in the western regions with some scattered and temporary thunderstorms that will locally cover the north late at night.

Winds are forecasted to be relatively strong in the western regions and in the south, with some local sand swirls, while weak to moderate elsewhere.

The sea is expected to be undulating to very turbulent in the north.

The extreme temperatures are expected to range between 24 and 29 degrees in some regions, between 30 and 37 degrees in other areas, and up to 40 degrees in the extreme south.
