The National Institute of Meteorology has stated that today's weather, August 16, 2024, is expected to be cloudy to heavily cloudy in the north western regions in the afternoon, with some scattered showers in limited areas, before locally covering the eastern regions.

Winds are forecast to be relatively strong in the south, accompanied by local sandy swirls by the end of the day, while they will become weak to moderate elsewhere at night. The sea is expected to be undulating in Serrat and the Gulf of Gabes and calm to slightly turbulent along the rest of the coasts.

Extreme temperatures are expected to range between 30 and 36 degrees in the north western regions and near the coasts, between 37 and 41 degrees elsewhere, and up to 43 degrees in the extreme south, with some local heatwaves.
