Tunisia Advocates for Humanitarian Aid in Gaza at International Conference
Tunisian Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mounir Ben Rjiba, represented Tunisia at the "Emergency Humanitarian Response in Gaza" conference held at the Dead Sea, Jordan on June 11.
The conference focused on facilitating immediate and unrestricted humanitarian aid to Gaza, as mandated by UN Security Council Resolution 2720.
In his address, Ben Rjiba condemned the ongoing crimes against humanity in Gaza and the West Bank, urging the international community to end its hesitancy and act against the occupation forces. He called for the reopening of all crossings, particularly the Rafah crossing, to ensure the delivery of essential aid.
Ben Rjiba reiterated Tunisia's steadfast support for the Palestinian people's struggle for an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. He also met with various international delegates to discuss further cooperation and held a meeting with the Tunisian community in Jordan to address their concerns and encourage their participation in national development initiatives.
Tunisia's participation in the conference underscores its commitment to humanitarian efforts and the protection of Palestinian rights.
