
Tunisia, China: a working session between the two Presidents in Riyadh
The Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia stated that today, Friday, December 9, 2022, the President Kais Saied had a working session, with the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on the sidelines of the Riyadh Arab-China Summit for Cooperation and Development which is being hosted by Riyadh, to discuss the future of the strategic partnership between the Arab countries and China.
During the meeting, the Tunisian President commended the existing friendly relations between Tunisia and China, and stressed the importance of continuing to work according to a common will and values in order to further strengthen and consolidate these ties within a bilateral and regional framework.
For his part, the Chinese President stated his country's keenness to further deepen the historical ties of friendship and cooperation with Tunisia in the interest of the two peoples.
At the end of this meeting, the Tunisian President extended an invitation for the Chinese President to visit Tunisia, and he received an invitation to visit Pekin from the part of his Chinese counterpart as well.
